Abstract
The purpose of the study was to analyse possible measures to increase the attraction of foreign capital into the economies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan. For the countries under study, foreign capital is not just a necessity, but also plays a supporting role for the inevitable structural reorganization of the country's economy. The development of the strategy was based on the analysis of statistical data on the functioning of the Kyrgyz and Uzbek economies. As a result of the study of the peculiarities of the functioning of the national economy, it was possible to establish that the promising sectors of the economy for further development are agriculture for Kyrgyzstan because of the largest number of employed population in it (17.1% of the total number of employed population in 2023), and the service sector for Uzbekistan because it occupies the largest share in the structure of the economy (41.5% in the structure of the economy in 2022). In order to improve the functioning of these sectors, it is important to attract foreign capital to develop R&D in these sectors. The determining factor of attractiveness in this case is a highly skilled labour force.
