Possible decisions include acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

No. Manuscripts that have been rejected by JECD are not eligible for resubmission in their original form. However, a manuscript may be considered for a new submission only if it has been substantially revised, significantly restructured, and presents clearly new or substantially improved content that addresses the reasons for the initial rejection. In such cases, the revised work will be treated as a new submission and will undergo the full peer-review process.

No. The identities of authors and reviewers remain anonymous during the review process.

Authors are not allowed to select reviewers; however, the final selection remains at the discretion of the editorial board.

JECD is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. Allegations or evidence of research misconduct are treated seriously and are investigated in accordance with the journal’s ethical policies and internationally recognized publishing standards. Research misconduct may include, but is not limited to, plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, duplicate publication, unethical authorship practices, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and any other actions that compromise the integrity of the scholarly record. When a potential case of misconduct is identified, the Editorial Office may initiate a formal investigation, which may involve communication with the author(s), reviewers, affiliated institutions, funding agencies, or other relevant parties. Authors will be given an opportunity to respond to the allegations and provide explanations or supporting evidence before a final decision is made. Depending on the nature and severity of the misconduct, JECD may take one or more corrective actions, including issuing a warning to the author(s), requesting corrections or clarifications, rejecting the submitted manuscript, retracting a published article, publishing a correction or expression of concern, notifying the author’s institution or relevant authorities, or temporarily or permanently prohibiting the author(s) from submitting manuscripts to JECD. In cases involving serious or repeated violations of publication ethics, the journal reserves the right to impose additional sanctions deemed appropriate by the Editorial Board. All decisions regarding research misconduct are made on a case-by-case basis and are subject to review and approval by the Editor-in-Chief, the Managing Editor, and, where necessary, the Editorial Board. The primary objective of any investigation is to protect the integrity, transparency, and credibility of the scholarly record while ensuring fairness and due process for all parties involved.

Special issues are intended to bring together high-quality research articles that provide in-depth analysis of emerging topics, contemporary challenges, and developments related to economic cooperation, sustainable development, public policy, finance, trade, and other areas within the journal’s scope. Researchers, academic institutions, and organizations may propose special issue topics for consideration. All proposals are subject to a thorough evaluation process, including an assessment of the topic’s relevance, originality, scientific merit, and potential contribution to the journal’s readership. Manuscripts submitted to special issues are subject to the same editorial standards, ethical requirements, and rigorous double-blind peer-review process as regular submissions. The decision to publish a special issue rests solely with the Managing Editor and is subject to the approval of the Editorial Board following a comprehensive evaluation of the proposal. Neither the submission of a proposal nor the appointment of guest editors guarantees the publication of a special issue. JECD reserves the right to accept, modify, postpone, or decline any special issue proposal in accordance with the journal’s editorial policies, publication priorities, and quality standards.

Researchers and academics who wish to serve as reviewers for JECD are encouraged to express their interest by contacting the Editorial Office and submitting their academic credentials, including their curriculum vitae, institutional affiliation, publication record, research interests, and areas of expertise. Preference is generally given to scholars who hold a doctoral degree or possess significant research and publication experience in fields relevant to the journal’s scope. Applications are carefully evaluated to ensure that prospective reviewers possess the necessary subject-matter expertise, academic qualifications, and familiarity with scholarly research and peer-review standards. The journal seeks reviewers who can provide objective, constructive, timely, and high-quality assessments of submitted manuscripts while adhering to the highest standards of confidentiality and publication ethics. The appointment of reviewers is made at the discretion of the journal and is based on the needs of the editorial process, the applicant’s qualifications, and the relevance of their expertise to the journal’s subject areas. The final decision regarding the inclusion of a researcher in the JECD reviewer database rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the Managing Editor. Submission of an application does not automatically guarantee appointment as a reviewer. Selected reviewers may be invited to evaluate manuscripts that align with their areas of specialization and expertise.
