Submission Guidelines
Authors are advised to carefully follow the guidelines below to facilitate a smooth review and publication process. Submissions that do not comply may be returned for correction prior to peer review.
1) Manuscript
- Articles: up to 8,000 words (excluding references, tables, appendices).
2) File Format & Layout
- Submit in Microsoft Word (.docx).
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced.
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides; use page numbers.
3) Structure
- Title page: title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author email.
- Abstract (150–250 words) and 3–6 keywords.
- Main text: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion (or field-appropriate equivalents).
- Acknowledgements, Funding, Conflict of Interest statement.
- References (APA or JECD style).
4) Tables & Figures
- Number consecutively and cite in the text.
- Provide high-resolution figures (≥300 dpi); upload source files where applicable.
- Add concise, descriptive captions; define all symbols/abbreviations.
5) References
Use a consistent scholarly style (APA or JECD style). Include DOIs where available and ensure accuracy.
6) Language & Ethics
- Manuscripts must be in clear academic English (consider professional editing if needed).
- Disclose conflicts of interest, funding, and required ethical approvals.
- JECD applies double-blind peer review; anonymize the manuscript file accordingly.
7) Data Availability
Provide a Data Availability Statement. Where possible, deposit datasets/code in trusted repositories and cite them.
8) How to Submit
- Prepare files according to the above requirements.
- Sign in to the JECD submission portal.
- Complete all metadata accurately (authors, affiliations, funding, disclosures) and upload files.
