Abstract
Business intelligence, through the use of software systems and applied analytical programs as well as improving knowledge management and economic and managerial processes, can be effective in enhancing business performance. On the other hand, in line with this trend, employing digital technologies—including artificial intelligence, blockchain, big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things—in various supply chain activities can also impact increasing the competitive advantage of businesses. In this regard, businesses can strengthen the impact of business intelligence and digital supply chain capabilities by leveraging supply chain ambidexterity capabilities. Accordingly, this paper aims to examine the impact of business intelligence and digital supply chain capabilities on operational performance and achieving sustainable competitive advantage, considering the mediating role of supply chain ambidexterity. The statistical population of this study includes all managers and specialists at various economic, executive, and operational levels in ceramic and tile businesses, with a sample size of 218 individuals. Hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling (SEM) and AMOS software. The results indicate that business intelligence and digital supply chain capabilities have a significant and positive effect on operational performance and sustainable competitive advantage.
